Broadmoor - A Body of Believers
The local church is made up of individual Christians who work and
worship in a particular area. The church is sometimes called
"the body of Christ" (1 Cor. 12:12), which has several implications.
First of all, the body is subservient in all things to the head,
which is Jesus Christ (Eph. 1:22-23). The church is directed
by the doctrine, or teaching, of Christ. Second, the church,
as a body, should be a working organism. The proper working of
every individual member is essential to the growth and edification
of the body (Eph. 4:16). The church should continually strive
together to grow stronger in the Lord. Third, the body should
care for itself (1 Cor. 12:24-26). The members of the body
need to help one another through trials and tribulations, in both
actions and prayers. This page is designed with the interests of the local church in
mind.
